This Sunday, November 8, marks the annual Antique Appraisal Fair…Wixom’s answer to the popular Antique Road Show…teamed with the Silent Auction hosted by the Wixom Historical Society. Running from noon to 4 pm at Wixom City Hall, it’s a double dip Sunday blending education and entertainment. Appraiser Fred Fleming will be on hand to explain the background, age and value of individual pieces. Placement numbers will be provided at the door. A $5 fee is charged for each treasured piece appraised.
It’s also a time for shoppers to browse the exciting array of baskets offered at the Silent Auction. You’ll find delightfully arranged baskets perfect for holiday gift giving, hostess gifts, decorating and entertaining. Winning bids will be determined at 4 p.m. Winners are not required to be present but will be notified to pick up your purchases.
All proceeds from the appraisal and silent auction benefit the Wixom Historical Society, its monthly program series and the care, maintenance and inhancement of the Wixom-Wire Museum.
Thanks, Nancy Dingeldey for the information, and we will see you at the Appraisal Fair.
Great fun! Are looking for a hidden treasure. The silent auction is where you might find it.
